Day 29 Mental Care Packages

One in four adults experiences at least one diagnosable mental health problem in any given year.

NHS England

Mental Health.gov describes mental health as “our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act.”. Biological and Psychological factors, as well as our environment can cause issues with our mental health. Mental illnesses can affect any one of us and are very common, these can be anxiety, Autism, Depression, Schizophrenia and many more.

A young lady named Amie started an amazing organisation, MentalCarePackage, in August 2020. With the kind thoughts to help spread awareness for mental health issues. She is making and providing care packages to people who are suffering with mental health issues. A simple application is all you need to do to receive one of the packages. Before Amie receives her official charity number she needs to prove that MentalCarePackages can raise money which she is working very hard to do. MentalCarePackages is a non-profit organisation and therefore greatly appreciates any money or product donations to go towards making more packages. Follow Amie’s work on Instagram @mentalcarepackages.

It is really important that we look after our mental health. I think Amie’s idea is very thoughtful and inspiring. I have donated some homemade inspirational book marks to MentalCarePackages, as a little something for her to pop in the packages. What can you do to help someone with mental health issues?

Take care of yourself and have a nice day!
