Day 27 Holocaust Memorial Day

The Holocaust was tragic, it was heartbreaking, one of the worst distresses to happen to the world. There are no words strong enough to express how terrible the Holocaust was. Millions of people murdered, 6 million Jewish people and then another 7 million people from a range of different backgrounds.

27th January is a day to remember the victims, to learn from the past and to prevent such a loss happening again.

Together we bear witness for those who endured genocide, and honour the survivors and all those whose lives were changed beyond recognition.

Sign up to watch the UK Holocaust Memorial Day ceremony at 7pm. Then join me in lighting a candle and putting it in your window to remember the victims and to stand against prejudice! #HolocaustMemorialDay #LightTheDarkness

People are different, we look different, we have different personalities and thoughts, we may believed in different things. People are different and that is okay. Make a pledge to be more compassionate, more empathetic and more understanding of other people and their uniqueness.

Have a nice day!
